Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking a dynamic CFO to work closely with the CEO and other members of the executive team. To be successful in this role, you must be data driven, collaborative, a changemaker and a hands on leader. You will work closely with your team to drive financial strategies and goals to move our ambitious strategic roadmap forward. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

•Developing a high performing Finance team in multiple regions, including ensuring
development of an already-identified CFO successor.
• Assessing the current team, financial policies and processes, and creating a strategy and
roadmap for success and implementation .
• Providing leadership by example in adhering to the Bemis Way, ensuring that a highly
motivated, well-trained, and engaged workforce is maintained .
• Managing the administrative, financial, legal, and risk management operations of the
company.
• Advising, in partnership with Corporate Controller, top management and regions of recent
and future accounting regulations to identify, plan, and optimize changes impacting the
organization.
• Ensuring that financial processes are globally aligned in purpose, while supporting the key
regional differences that make the organization strong.
• Leading and overseeing the annual business planning process, accounting systems, policies,
and procedures to ensure compliance with governmental financial and tax regulations and
FASB standards such as GAAP and IFRS.
• Operationalizing accounting and auditing systems and processes for continuous monitoring
capabilities and improvements and building expertise across financial functions with relevant
and timely staff training and development programs.
• Identifying, acquiring, and implementing integrated, global systems and software to provide
critical financial and operational information processing and reporting capabilities.
• Identifying, developing, and executing analyses of business initiatives, product launches
and/or new service offerings, ensuring adequate cash flow and liquidity.
• Oversight of FP&A function, ensuring the company is receiving exceptional insight and
analysis of financial data and results that can be used to make effective business decisions.

 

 

Requirements 

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Master's Degree/MBA and CPA designation highly preferred

• 15+ years of progressive financial leadership roles for a global company or division of a

large corporation with revenue greater than $500M.
• Prior M&A, strategic planning, and executive leadership team experience is expected.
• First-hand international experience, including cultural understanding of European and
Asian business ideal.
• Experience with a global manufacturing business required .
• Global accounting and consolidation experience including current knowledge of U.S. and
international GAAP, and familiarity with IFRS reporting.

• Experience working with banking institutions, legal counsel, auditors, tax consultants,
insurance agencies, and regulatory agencies.
• A demonstrated working knowledge of capital equipment manufacturing processes
gained in an acquisition-oriented, multinational company.
• Hands-on experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and overall business
analytics.
• Experience with global ERP system identification, acquisition, and implementation,
including design and implementation of requisite internal controls features necessary to
maintain proper records
• A strategic mindset with a long-term perspective to contribute to and support strategies
that optimize the opportunities of market dynamics and/or establish sustained
competitive advantages.
