We are seeking an electrically inclined individual to join the Maintenance team. Ideally, someone in this role will be close to earning their license or already have earned one and have the drive to learn complex machines and systems. Someone in this position would be a strong team player and be interested in continue to grow in their field. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide electrical engineering and electrician services geared towards supporting our in-house capacity to design, service, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, machinery electronics and automation.

  • Must be able to electrically diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Promote and perform preventive maintenance work on electrical equipment and systems for maximum equipment readiness.
  • Perform modification work on electrical equipment and systems.
  • Evaluate and install new electrical equipment and systems.
  • Ability to work with outside electrical contractors and technicians for machine installation, startup, and troubleshooting.
  • Install and implement ­­­­electrical projects as assigned.
  • Perform other electrical maintenance as assigned.
  • Provide on-call, off-shift support to operation as needed.

 

Requirements (minimum acceptable and/or preferred):

 
Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalene

Experience:

  •  Licensed Electrician or 2-3 year apprentice with an electronic background
  • 1-2 years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred

Specific Skills:

  •  3-phase 480V industrial experience.
  • Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using test equipment such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to program VFD’s preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC’s preferred.
  • Possess superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Work with limited supervision.
  • Read & interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of blueprints and electrical schematics
