POSITION TITLE: REDO Specialist- 2ND SHIFT

REPORTS TO: Adam Robinson

DEPARTMENT: Woodshop Support

FLSA: Non-Exempt

AIS is a rapidly growing furniture manufacturer seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill its newly created REDO Specialist position. The REDO Specialist will focus on processing every redo in the respective department and documenting critical information to track and manage the redo process, helping the company save money. This individual will also actively participate in meetings with managers and supervisors to discuss strategies for preventing redo’s from occurring.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Enter redo information accurately and in a timely manner into the tracking system.
  • Investigate the root causes of redo’s and document detailed information.
  • Identify trends and patterns that are affecting the redo’s and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work closely with production teams to reduce redo of parts.
  • Keep thorough records on part number, color, vendor, lot number, and reasons for redo’s.
  • Lead the weekly redo meeting with supervisors, managers, and team leaders.
  • Maintain and update the redo report with detailed, accurate information.
  • Take photos of redo parts for documentation and follow-up analysis.
  • Support and provide assistance in different departments as needed, depending on operational demands.
  • Be available for overtime, extended hours, or schedule adjustments based on business needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred; however, the company will provide Excel training to ensure proficiency in data analysis, including pivot tables.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate on corrective actions during meetings.
  • Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish.
